Your opinion on the 16u ASA State tournament

    Correction

    Cheeze,
    Just to make sure everyone knows, the only connection the Cardinals have to the ASA State is that I coach one of the Cards and I also serve as the ASA JO Comm.
    Bob Caldwell and MCPR hosted the tournament. Just want make sure they are kept seperate. Lord knows I don't need more discussion about my involvement in this tournament.
    I will see that we, NC ASA, improve every year. Thanks for all the input.

    thanks for clearing that up rick, i think a lot of us assumed that you had a bigger role in this.

    What was the outfield fence distance......

    .....from the plate at Mallard? At Ren. the outfield looked very deep. I saw 4 or 5 HRs at Ren. What is the standard size of a field in ASA? How might the different field sizes positively or negatively affect a teams winning%?

    My guesstimate was 220 @ Ren.

    Fields

    I believe I heard someone say 230 on fences. It was truly a long ways and a ball hit to gap was three bases if not homerun.
