I know this is not an NC player but one everyone is familiar with and anxious to know how it was all going to play out!

Braves I think he already got lucky, not sure how much of the 6.1 million package was up front signing bonus, but it would take me a couple of years working at the concession stand to keep up with him financially.

Look forward to seeing him progress up the ladder.

I was hoping to see hmi in Louisburg this spring. But oh well, thats how things go. Best of luck to him and hope everything works out for both Justin and the D-Backs.

    Kudos!

Yet his HS coach and teacher will never reach that dollar figure after 30 years in the biz nor a lifetime! Congrats to him and especially his suave agent!

Lots of cash for an 18 year old

Congratulations to Justin for getting the deal done. However, I am surprised that he got that amount of money. This is not a slam on Justin; I just question giving any HS kid that kind of money.

There is no doubt Justin has the raw tools that could possibly turn him into a major league star but he is not at that level yet. My bet is he will be converted to the outfield pretty soon.

I hope he is able to keep a level head and not take his success at the high school level as a guarantee that he will be a success at the professional level. A friend of mine saw him at a Durham Bulls game this past summer and he said Justin pulled up to the front gate in a limousine. He had a chance to speak with him and he said he seemed like a pretty good kid, but that he certainly seemed to enjoy his rock star status.
