    Former North Davidson and Lexingtion American Legion player Will Walmsley was named CVAC POW last week. Couldn't happen to a better young man. Great job Willie!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thomasville, N.C.> William Walmsley of Barton College (16-13 overall, 9-3 CVAC) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) baseball Player of the Week. Senior leftfielder William Walmsley hit an outstanding .706 this week to lead his team to a 3-2 week. Walmsley played in four of the Bulldog's five games this week collecting 12 hits in 17 at-bats. Batting second in the line-up his hot streak began in the game two verses USC-Aiken going 3-for-5 with 2 runs scored and 1 double. During the Barton sweep of St. Andrews, the Lexington, NC native went 9-for-12 with 8 singles, 1 triple, 1 walk, 1 RBI, 3 runs scored and two stolen bases.
