is there restrictions on the Legion Team a player can play for when there is no Legion Post participation in the team he is assigned. Legion teams should be sponsored by their Local Legion Posts to participate in the leagues. If it is not important to the Legion Post the team should not exist. Many of these teams are now so watered down that they are hard to watch. Find a new Venue, it is an odd form of Daddy Ball when it costs $600 to play and everyone plays because they paid.
The coaches coach with preset lineups and subtitutions with no intention of trying to win unless it just happens and.....
Thats not Legion Baseball.

 

Sorry it costs you $600 to play, all I can say without knowing about your specific situation, is that all legion teams are not like what you described.

I had an older son for the last 3 years play for Western Forsyth and it was different. Cost was minimal and it was run to develope the players and try to win. Didn't happen all the time but the effort was there by the coaches. They are still part of a Legion post. We have to get a release from a team that doesn't have an active Post in order to play at Western this year. Most of us just want to see good baseball.
