Thats all they need. These guys are real good, the three seniors causey, high, and engle can flat play. causey is one of the best catchers around, has some pop in his bat and a solid arm, calls a good game too. engle can run like a deer. ideal leadoff hitter. he can pitch a little bit too. High anchors this group, he can hit, good shortstop, and good arm off the mound.

Not to mention Wes Wrenn, a junior who is a solid number 2 and can play some third as well.

In a series i give the edge to weslyn, because of the strength of pitching. I'm not sure who christian has behind Najaka a very solid pitcher on the mound. Interesting matchup though, Bost, Fronk, Najaka, Hill, vs. High, Causey, Engle, and Wrenn.

    Great Matchup

Being from Charlotte, obviously I know the talent of the CC team, but having watched Impact Baseball's fall team and seeing High, Engle, Causey and Wrenn up close at many games, I agree with statefan, those guys can flat out play and it should be a great game, especially with Najaka pitching.

Of the many talented players on Andy's fall team..I loved Engle's hustle and competitiveness, Causey has great hands, good footwork and great bat..but Travis High was my favorite player. The kid is a wonderful athlete and could play any position if he chose to...and again one of the most competitive players across the state.

I'd actually pay to watch that game...and you know how cheap 'Braves" is:D

thanks guys, it looks the they have 4 studs on the team. but do they have any solid pitching, with out that your not gonna get to far. the series between the 2 teams should be great, i guess we'll see who brings home a "W" in a couple of months.

High is goin to state, not sure if hes gonna pitch, but he has a great arm and good curveball. mid to upper 80s can reach 90, from what i hear, not sure if its jugs or not.

Wrenn is a mid 80s, with deceptive delivery, he hides the ball pretty well. Breaking ball isnt bad.

Engle is a low 80s lefty, however, emphasis on lefty.

I met Chris Engle in Florida over the Christmas/New Year holiday. He was playing for the Carolina Stars 18u team in the Disney New Year Bash. Ron Causey was also on the team. He said this was their third year in a row attending, and winning this tournament. Twice , including this year , with just nine players.
