    Watauga 64
    McDowell 68

Petey couldn't have had more than twelve points. He was held to 0 in the first half I believe. Tough loss for Watauga

    East Burke- 61
    ACHS- 43

    East Burke Scoring
    Cody Shuffler- 23
    Jake Frogge- 10
    Dustin Beck- 9
    Darrian Pearson- 6

    ACHS Scoring
    Ryan Hargrave- 11
    Ethan Ford- 7
    DJ Fortner- 6
    Thomas Ferguson- 5

Very impressed with East Burke tonight, they are a very physical team and can shoot the rock. The Shuffler kid gave ACHS problems as he could shoot from anywhere on the floor. Hes a very solid player. East Burke did a good job shutting down ACHS on offense as they held Hargrave to only 11 points, although he did miss a few shots that were down then out.

It is hard to score any points from the bench! Petey picked up 2 fouls in the first 2 minutes of the game and had to sit most of the first half. The Titans probably missed 20 free throws tonight. There was one stretch in the 4th quarter where they missed 7 straight.

Watauga has got to be kicking theirselves right now...they played a great game. They probably had their best shooting game of the year plus they kept the conference's most dominant player scoreless until two minutes into the second half and they still can't pull out the victory? Man...that's gonna sting for a while.

After seeing Freedom and McDowell this league is wide open.

McDowell is good don't get me wrong but they aint the world beaters alot of their fans think. Petey I know was in foul trouble as was Twitty but they can be beat. Double Petey, make Kincaid shoot from farther than 3 out. WHS played pretty good IMO.

Right now this league has 3 groups

People that can finish from 1-3 (Teams that are good but could fall on any night to the other top schools and could fall on the road to WHS/Alexander)
    McDowell
    Freedom
    East Burke

Teams that can finish from 4-5 (teams that can beat any of the top three but also are equally as likely to lose to the bottom teams
    WHS
    Alexander

Teams that are fighting for the bottom (Teams that could pull a few upsets at home but are fighting for baseball season)
    South
    ACR (Clement is their team)

I think we had a pretty good preview down at the freedom Christmas tournament. Good teams find a way to win when their stars have an off night.

The freedom tournament, the watuaga game, all of last year in the playoffs? Providence, Butler, Crest, Hopewell? All of these games are not proof that WE know how to win in the fourth quarter. WHS played very good last night. but if im not mistaken greene was scoreless or very close to it in the first half. brian twitty played very well defensivly last night and yes we missed more than 20 free throws, 28. Im very disappointed in that. We are still the premier team in the conference. We are on top so we will get everyone's best shot and if we wanna go undefeated in conference, which is everyone's goal at the beginning of the season, then we have to take everything one game at a time. Everyone's best shot will be tough to deal with, but with 6 seniors, best player, most athletic player, and the best coach, as long as we play smart and hit our free throws, we can do anything we wanna do. We've got to shoot the rock better as well, EVERYBODY will play us zone until we get to playoffs so we need to hit more than three of four threes a game. WHS should be sick at their stomachs yes, but they took some rushed shots in the fourth quarter, and basically gave us the game. We would have won by almost 20 if we would have hit HALF of our freethrows. I honestly do not want to start an argument, because i do not post very often so this is just all my opinion. Excuse the rambling.

Good win last night for the patriots as five players were in double figures led by sam ford's 21 points.Ethan kincaid is continuing to make progress and is becoming a solid player.
