    Harding-12

...Wow, what a game...turned out to be better than I expected. West jumped out to a quick lead 7-0 with an INT returned for a TD. With the score 14-0 at the half I expected it to be a blowout by the end, but Harding turned it around in a hurry. They got their ground game going, and their RB really impressed me. Harding scored their first TD and went for 2, but failed. With the score 14-6 and only 4 minutes left to the game I was pretty sure it was over. I was wrong. With less than a minute left, Harding's QB scrambled and seemed to just throw up a pass, and the receiver made a beautiful catch to score a TD. I'm pretty sure it was Quinton Gaddy, he intercepted the Harding 2-point attempt to win the game.

West is 3-8 (3-3), and with that record I guess you can say that they "don't belong in the playoffs", but they've played hard all year so it's good to see them get in the playoffs.

    Walker White is a beast.

They played a very tough schedule...Indy, East Meck, Ashbrook, South Point, Catholic, Myers Park, Good to see they made it.

What the latest on Walter White and his college choice.

Brannon is going to be one of the best backs(if not best) in Charlotte in a year or 2.

    Bring on AC Reynolds...

Don't say we would win or anything. I said that because I know we probably will be the 16th seed(AC 1st).

Walker, from my understanding, is being looked at by a lot of smaller D-1 AA schools, but I've heard that Urban Meyer (Florida) has asked to see a tape of him. I'm not sure where he wants to go.

West is playing Grimsley, not AC Reynolds. Reynolds got the #2 seed, and I've heard they are a force to be reckoned with so I guess I'm a little happier that it's not AC Reynolds, even though Grimsley is a VERY good team.

I think Coach White will have them very well prepared. He set the regular season schedule for a reason, to give his young team experience with some of the top teams in Charlotte. The losses to Ashbrook (55-0), East Meck (27-7), Independence (41-0), Myers Park (30-0), Charlotte Catholic (40-0), and South Point (48-14) are going to make them more hungry than they already were, and this young team will be prepared because they have a GREAT coaching staff. Coach White has confidence in his team, and even being 3-8 (3-3) West Meck is a very under-rated team. People tend to look at their record before they see them play. This team has grown so much since the embarassment at Ashbrook. Looking at it right now, I don't see West coming away with a win, but it is very possible with Rocky White as your coach.

As of the Waddell game (don't have stats from the Harding game), Walker White's stats go as follows:

    108 tackles, 5 INT's, 4 Fumble recoveries, 2 Fumbles forced, 2 blocked PAT's, 1 blocked punt returned for a TD.

If he doesn't get all state something is wrong.

pcon, have you been to any West games this year? The comment about Brannon becoming one of the best backs in Charlotte is right on point. His junior and senior seasons are going to make him a top recruit, hopefully he stays at West. The kid runs with power and finesse, he stands at 5'8 205, and I've seen him put defenders flat on the ground.

What many must understand is that this team is being rebuilt after losing 26 seniors last season. Next year they will be a force, and that goes for the next 2-5 years. Reggie White and Houston White are going to be great QB's, Quinton Gaddy will be a shutdown corner next year as well as one of the fastest receivers in Charlotte. Coach White has done a FINE job at rebuilding this team.

There's a page for the West Meck season stats pcon...

Wow, Fla- nice. I went to 3 game. Indy, SP, and MP. Brannon reminds me of a Ron Danye(type player). If they get a OL, the sky the limit for him.
