With the upcoming 17 million dollar stadium renovation, last year's trip to Omaha, and the returning talent for 08, the lure of UNC has never been stronger.
If Porcello and Harvey do decide to go to Chapel Hill, maybe they will change the name form Boshamer to Boras Stadium.

Looks like Matt Harvey is headed to Chapel Hill...wasn't taken in round 1,
    1 supplemental or round 2

Are you sure? I know he was taken (surprisingly late), but I don't know when he was selected or by who

Also, I believe Porcello will sign. He will receive Top 10 money (or at least offered it). As much as I love Madison and I feel long term wise Madison has an opportunity to be one of the best of this class, Porcello is so polished and will rise quickly. This kid could be in the Show by his 3rd year and probably be brought up for some coffee earlier. There is not a pitch he hasn't mastered in his bag.

Anothet thing about Porcello. As pointed out by Coach 27, many pitchers can touch low to mid 90's, Porcello lives at 94-95 all game long.

By the way, for those that don't know, Andrew Miller has been called up and will start Sunday for the Tigers.

Harvey just went off the board @ #117 (late third round).
Unless the Angels go way over slot, he's going to UNC.

Am I missing something? What about Woodward. Is he not MLB material?

That light blue they wear in Chapel Hill turns a lot of the big league clubs away...

    I really dont understand

that last post. If you are talking about Robert he will be drafted today. Where he goes in the draft has nothing to do with where he plays in college. Three guys that have signed to play this fall at UNC were drafted early Bumgardner, Porcello and Harvey. Horton Putkonen and Carigan have already been drafted as well. There will be a couple of more drafted out of Chapel Hill today. Look for Fronk and Williams to get drafted today. Woodard was a late draft pick last year. He is a senior in college. His leverage is not that great because he has no other options like returning to college or like HS players going to college. But he will get the opportunity to show that he can pitch and get guys out at the pro level. Im betting on Woodard to have a very good pro career. All he does it win. And no one will out work him.
