Trying the Ichiro batting style

Isn't it rare to see prep or college players using the batting style of Ichiro? I guess it's sort of like slap hitting.

 

I can't even begin to explain how hard it is to hit like he does and how good of an athlete he is. He has hours of high light tape showing him doing things that have almost never been done on a baseball field before. You can't teach some one to be 7 foot tall and you can't teach someone to hit like ichiro and expect good results. Teach a really fast player to stay balanced in his follow through and work hard to get out of the box quickly and you will see better results.
