Travis Moore - Stolen base streak ends at 45

    I read in today's Greensboro News & Record that Dudley High's Travis Moore was thrown out in a steal attempt against Smith's Chris Ruiz. This ended Moore's consecutive stolen base streak at 45.

    Props to Travis. He's a good kid and a fine ballplayer with unbelievable speed. Unfortunately, he's on a team that isn't very well known for it's baseball program. My son has played on a couple of summer league all-star teams with Travis and we've enjoyed getting to know him and his parents.

    Nailed: Smith's Chris Ruiz ended Travis Moore's stolen base streak on Tuesday by nabbing the Dudley player in the third inning of the Golden Eagles game against Dudley. Moore had collected 45 consecutive stolen bases up until that point.

    Awesome! My son played AAU with Travis for several years. What a great kid!
