top contenders for 3A title??

west carteret from here in the east. they are 14-2 i think and have two great players. chrisenhall and poulk. one is going to chapel hill and the other to south carolina. both are great players.

not sure about anybody else in the east but WC should be near the top of the list. what about the western teams?? who will compete for the state title??

Let me be the first to welcome you Rampant. We are honored to have someone of your calibre in helping with information from the East. I have been following WC all of this year. What a tremendous team...pitching and hitting. It also helps them in that they play quality opponents at the 4A level as well.

Drew Poulk and Lonnie Chisenhall are studs. I expect WC to represent the West in 3A. There are quite a few quality 3A teams in the west. I'll let those people tell you who they are, but TC Roberson with Josh Thrailkill and Justin Jackson would certainly be on that list.

Rampant- I was real impressed with Rose's 1st baseman (Adams, I believe). How is he doing and what's your thoughts on Rose this year?

South Granville High - Creedmoor

This is a team on the rise. They only start one senior and are mostly a sophmore laden team. They just moved up to 3-A this year and are undefeated in their conference. They have three studs, Chris Luck-junior and Pratt Maynard and Jeff May-sophmores. They should contend for a state title the next two years. This is the same group that played in the 2-A championship game last year. They are well coached and a class act.

first of all i would like to thank you for the welcome. i will try to provide valuable information and not so much the standard ROSE vs new bern jibber jabber you have all probably seen.

a rampant.....is a like a lion that stands on its back two feet. it also is known to be wearing MULTIPLE state championship rings!!!! like the 3 recent football rings, some baseball ones, ya know....the usual. find one here...

and this years ROSE baseball team is doing alright. we are 14-6 (6-4) right now. a little "down" from past years. we recently got our all-star short stop back, he was out w/ an injury from basketball. his bat and glove will help. i dont know if he will pitch or not this year. it looks as though we will make the playoffs over new bern, only one 4A team will make it and there is no conference tourny this year.

not sure of the 1st baseman you are talking about for ROSE...i dont keep up w/ baseball as much as football but i dont think there is an adams.

I saw him play in the BB&T Easter Classic and saw him hit a bomb against west carteret and 3 against havelock. he's an impressive hitter
