Tony Paroli steps down at Statesville

After one season (0-11) with the Statesville Greyhounds (3A NPC) Tony Paroli calls it quits. No word as to why or where he will be heading next. Rumor has it that he has designs on the Porter Ridge vacancy. Statesville has had its problems with the football program recently but had hoped that Paroli would turn the program in the right direction after the departure of Roger Bost one year ealier.

 

I remember being in Statesville before the season started and I was talking to some folks that thought Paroli was the fix all for Statesville...oh well.

 

What do you think is the problem in Statesville?

 

seems to me that it would be a real good place for an up and coming head coach to make his mark, win alot of football games. Statesville has some talent but needs people who are willing to work and bring that once proud program back. a good X & O head coach who has good organizational skills could handle it. i cant say whats going on within the school athletic dept. or administration though.

 

I think its administative problems...
