Thanks Everybody..TBR Rocks!!!

This has been a great year on the Baseball Forum. Look what we accomplished so far:

-- Started in February with no advertising. Everything was word of mouth

-- Had a Professional Pitcher giving a straight, honest opinion about the art of pitching

--- Coach Alexander from Elon came on the Board expressing his thoughts on what a college coach looks for

--- Our own Prepster giving wise counsel on preparing yourself for college

--- The best HS baseball info with up to date scores through out the State

--- The Head Coach for Team North Carolina joining our board and asking for our opinions on worthy candidates for the Blue/Gray Classic

--- Every coach in Charlotte and probably other areas waking each morning to check our board for info and scores before they had a chance to read the paper

--- The humor that was posted ( Fishing Tournaments, TBR games of the week, Mustang Cookies )..etc.

There were many highlights this year, but what I was most proud of were 2 things:

1. We were promoting the players vs slamming or trashtalking individual players

2. Selection of great moderators from all over the State...keeping us informed of the happemings in their area.

We have many, many great posters on this Board and I would like to thank them for keeping the Baseball forum entertaining, informative and enlightening....amd that Folks is what this Forum is all about.

I'll be leaving now to help get the Football Forum going, but I wanted to take the time to thank everybody for their help and participation.

To NCBaseballfan, rc, Mudcat, and NC-Dad...thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the efforts you guys have made this year. NC-Dad, you have a very talented son whom I have enjoyed folowing this year and will continue to follow his success in the future.

I'll be checking in from time to time to see how everybody is doing...but for the most part....see ya in January!!!

I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say "THANK YOU, BRAVES". Without your efforts this board would have never happened. Without you a lot of us would still be stuck in Charlotte.com.

Thank you, Braves, for creating this terrific sanctuary for the many of us who follow high school baseball in North Carolina. Ultimately, so much of what we see here ends up benefitting those who count the most, the players.

By the way, while you're (characteristically) giving out kudos to others' sons, I'd like to take a moment to single out yours, as well. He's already a tremendous player, and he'll end up being one of the best from our area. More importantly, he's a tremendous individual, who will enrich many lives over the course of his lifetime. You and Mrs. Braves have "done good"...and should be very proud.

So as some of us age out, what about a college thread where we can keep each other up to date on our boys as they move up???

You're the best .... Your vision got this thing rolling while the rest of us were just tolerating the situation over at Charlotte.com.

And I know you'll be back .... It's up to the rest of us to keep things rolling and getting ready for next season when the "genius of high school baseball" gets done with his football obligation.

Thanks for inviting me on board. I've had a blast with you. We'll fire up the "Lil Miss Tang" and send her over to pick you up from the body bashers from time to time so you can get some sanity in your life.

Thanks Braves-I had followed the HSBBW for a long time and wished we had something for our own state. TBR has done that and much more. It is not only a place to see how others are doing but also a reliable place to ask questions and get quality answers. Thanks again Braves your vision has given NC our own Baseball Forum!
