Texas Rangers select Jay Heafner

    The Texas Rangers selected Jay Heafner in the 23rd round.
    Heafner was a standout player at West Lincoln, Cherryville Post 100, and Davidson College. Next stop for Heafner will be Spokane, Washington where he will be a member of the single-A Spokane Indians.

    What a career he had at Davidson. I remember when we announced his signing with Davidson. It seemed like yesterday. Good luck to Jay!!!
