I can tell who the hitters are by the way they walk to the batters box. You have to believe that you are better than anyone that steps on that mound. A good hitter is a confident hitter. A confident hitter is a good hitter. You can have the most technical sound swing in the world and all the talent in the world but without supreme confidence you will not be successfull on a consistent basis. There should be no where else in the world you would rather be than in that batters box. Attack the pitcher do not allow him to attack you. If he throws a strike let him know he did , and to the wrong person.

For me, baseball is the greatest game in the world. I love it. But it is just that, A Game. There is so much more to life.

High batting averages do not always equate to good hitting. learn what it means to be a hitter. It can't be measured in averages alone.

Good things happen to good people. Be a good person. Work ethic, intensity, determination, focus and drive (to name a few) are not light switches that can be flipped on at 4 o'clock or whenever practice begins. The type of person you are in the hallways and classroom will directly affect the type of ball player you will be. You can't be a jack-leg from the 8:30 bell to the 3:30 bell (6 hours) and then expect to come out to the park ready to go. Show me a person who does this (acts a fool) and is still "successful" and and I'll show you an under-achiever.
