St. Maria Goretti has the distinction of playing in every Tarboro Classic that has been held.

DO NOT EAT before you come to watch any of these games. The cookout that these guys do during the games is almost as good as going to the Beefmastor in Wilson. Hope to see you all there at the picnic tables.

Thats true, those cheeseburgers are really good.
Not to mention the tournament was great. Should be equally as good this year.
Lawerence Academy played some very good baseball, I hear they will be as good, and are returning. I believe Daniel Oliver is going to be the ace, and they will be solid defensively.
SWE should be an improved team, they have a couple of sophomores that should/could help, not to mention Ellerby. A couple of senior pitchers on that team, so it will be fun to see.
Tarboro lost 3 starters from last years team, and have 3 returning senior pitchers- so they should be improved, some young talent coming along.
West Stokes- Im sure will be a quality team. Tarboro lost to them in 1st round of state, and they had some speed along with quality pitching and sticks.

We're looking forward to coming down east this spring. My mouth is starting to water just thinking about that eastern bar-b-q and a little hot sauce!!:flameme:

Its a long ride from King to Tarboro. I followed the activity bus up there and it was quite a ride. The kids were in the parking lot tailgating, throwing the football, shooting hoops. It was a good atmosphere other than losing the game.
Im sure your team will be as good if not better.
    How many starters are returning?

Get a big glass of sweet tea with that BBQ- Good Stuff.

We lost 7 seniors, top 3 pitchers , but we should be competitive this spring. There's only one thing better than sweet tea and bar-b-q...sweet tea and deer tenerlion with fried potatoes. You've got to remember I'm from the mountains of southwest VA. :58:

Losing 7 seniors can hurt, but reading TBR and other places, you guys probably reload. It seems like far away, but will be here before you know it.
The teams coming from up north are usually pretty good as well. The NJ team won it the year before last I believe- I think thats who you guys play.
Have you ever been to Tarboro Stadium? Its a great place to play. I hear alot of people say how much they enjoyed it. Not a big field LF/RF 310', and CF 345' the entire fence is 12'. Years ago- a minor league team played there.

Tenderloins and taters- not to bad. I like the little tender ones- they cook up nicely!!
