Take the time to read the information. It will be of tremendous help for those going through the process of recruiting. It can be excrutiating, nerve wracking or a thrill depending on your situation, but at least be prepared.

Please let me know if there is interest by the members of softball to continue to post information about college recruiting. I don't want to inundate your forum with information if it's not needed or wanted. For those young ladies that are rising seniors....this can be the most wonderful time of your life...or the most dreaded.

Allow me to say one more thing. I have encountered so many parents that have told me, "I wish I had this information before".....thus, why I asked if there were interest from the softball folks.

...and if you have a specific question, post it here

    a bump from 7/04? that ain't a bump, that's a bomb!

We are finding that softball is a little different then baseball when it comes to recruiting. Still though, the basics are the same and the link you provided can help anyone interested in college ball.

Exactly....GMan, the families of baseball players are very informed and sophisticated to the recruiting process and how it works. There are some minor differences, but the subject and material listed is appropriate.

I find the softball community a little different. I have posted helpful recruiting information in the past and it received a mixed bag of views....then I get PM's from people asking about the information.

So I'll post it and the one's that are interested will take a look. But it puzzles me because after being involved in recruiting at different levels for 8+ years, I still learn something new each year.
