Surry Central vs Mount Pleasant (2A)

Let me begin by saying that I nor anyone else in Mount pleasant enjoys losing at anything. Having said that, I would like to congratulate Surry Central on their 7-5 win last night at Mount Pleasant. They played
hard and deserved the win. The Coaches, the players and the parents displayed so much class, before, during and especially after the game.
We had a couple of rain delays last night and got to meet and talk with the head coach for several minutes. I had the opportunity and priviledge to talk with a few players and parents after the game. They are good
people. My Son, who plays for MPHS also made a comment on the way home on how the Surry Central players were good guys and talked a lot to our guys during the game. In days where it seems winning takes precedent, both teams last night found a way to just play for FUN!
We (MPHS) came out on the short end of the score, but somehow it doesn't feel so bad losing to such a good group from SURRY CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL!
All of Dobson, NC should be proud of their team. Good luck to the
GOLDEN EAGLES, we are pulling for you!
