    DOES ANYONE KNOW THE RESULTS OF THE "NSA SUPERBASH"?

    THIS WEEKEND WAS SOME OF THE BEST BALL PLAYING I'VE SEEN ALL YEAR! HATS OFF TO EACH ONE OF THE 14/U GIRLS THAT PARTICIPATED IN THIS TOURNAMENT...ALOT OF BLOOD, SWEAT, AND TEARS WERE LEFT ON THE FIELDS AT POSTON PARK OVER THE WEEKEND.

    I KNOW MY GIRLS(HIT-N-RUN "96") PLAYED THEIR HEARTS OUT SUNDAY...WE STAYED IN THE WINNERS BRACKET ALL DAY SATURDAY -STARTED SUNDAY MORNING 9AM WITH A LOSS AND NEVER LEFT THE FIELD UNTIL 4PM -GOTTA LOVE THE LOSERS BRACKET...PLAYED 4 GAMES STRAIGHT THROUGHT BACK TO BACK...FINALLY FINISHED A WELL FOUGHT 3RD(SILVER).

    ONE HIGHLIGHT NOTED:
    THE CATCHER(NOT SURE OF HER NAME) THAT PLAYS FOR "THE CAROLINA CROSSFIRE" AWESOME CATCHER AND ONE OF THE BEST HITTERS I'VE SEEN ALL YEAR...WHEN WE WERE LEAVING THE PARK , SHE HAD JUST HIT HER 4TH HOMERUN OF THE TOURNAMENT...

    THE HIT-N-RUN FAMILY WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THANK CHUCK LANEY AND STAFF FOR A GREAT TOURNAMENT...

    Bronze Results

    The CBC Lady Cougars held off a tired but tough Va. Renegades team in the Championship. The Renegades were playing their fifth straight game but never gave up the fight. Championship game went full seven innings with the Lady Cougars holding on for their first tournament win!

    Blue Magic finished in first place. We lost to the Crossfire in the Championship game, but came back to win 12-2 in the "if" game. It was a beautiful weekend to be playing ball! Congratulations to all of the teams who played so well this weekend.

    12 U Super Bash

    The GBC Fastpitch won the 12u Super Bash in Greensboro. They defeated the Charlotte Blaze Black in the championship game. I think GBC went undefeated this weekend. They gave the Blaze their 2 loses of the tournament. Great pitching and hitting from GBC!!

    CV Storm 12 -- Way to work hard even during adversity!!

    I want to give a shout out to the CV Storm 12u!!! This weekend at the Super Bash tournament the CV Storm encountered some unexpected injuries and had to end a game against my dd's team with 8 players. Those 8 players worked as hard as any 9 players ever worked on a field. They did have to forfeit the following game but was back on the field Sunday ready to give it their all!!! I love to see players play with their hearts as well with their bodies. They are a very tough competitive team and deserve a trophy for their determination this weekend!!!:trophy:

    That catcher from crossfire...

    May be (probably is) Dakota Keller from Crest Middle School (8th grade).
    She is an awesome ball player and can really yak the ball out.
    She also has a great hitting coach to boot... (her dad)....
    And on top of all that, she's one of the nicest kids you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting. Keep her name in the back of your head.. She's gonna be turning heads soon.

    Carolina Comets teal 14-U

    The Carolina Comets Teal 14-U team placed 3rd place in the 14-U Gold devision after a tough day on saturday losing 3 out of 4 games. But came back strong on sunday clawing there way back to the top playing four straight games losing there fourth game to the Challengers which would have put them in the championship agianst the JC Clippers 95 (not sure who won that game). Strong, wonderful group of talented girls we are proud of all of them. Great tournement some of the strongest 14-u teams around!

    I HAD BRIEF CHANCE TO SPEAK WITH HER AND A COUPLE MORE OF THE GIRLS....GREAT KIDS! THE WHOLE CROSSFIRE ORGANIZATION , COACHES AND PARENTS WERE A GOOD GROUP....I'M SURE WE'LL MEET SEVERAL MORE TIMES THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER.
