Whether you are in college or being recruited to play this is a worthwhile read for parents and players. If you think coaches, media etc are not reading your pages you are fooling yourself.

There you have it fellas. You've been warned by your parents and coaches and now by DWood. If you mess up you have nobody to blame but yourself.

The article actually mentioned a great idea. Make your parents, relatives and coaches friends on facebook. They will keep you straight.

 

Recently, a "guy i know" had to pick an all-star team. He told me he heard a lot about one kid in particular and checked him out on facebook and saw some disturbing things. The kid didn't get picked and lots of people questioned his decision. Kid may have helped him, but it was an easy decision for the "guy I know".

 

Very good advice, I'm sure coaches will be paying a lot more attention to this after the recent Marvin Austin fall-out. Thats why we, as parents, need to checking our kids "pages" as well. Remember they still are OUR responsibility.
