    Since our information is limited on who's going to the state playoffs, and the time is near, lets hear who's definately going and who's in contention for a wildcard slot in your conference.

    Two Automatic Bids

    1st- AC Reynolds- 7-2 ------10-6
    2nd Alexander Central---6-3------ 11-4


    Wild Card Possibilitiles-

    Freedom (4th) ----------13-6-(1 loss was an endowment game-(13-5)
    McDowell (3rd) ----------10-6
    South (5th) ----------11-7

    McDowell only has 3 losses in the leauge
    Freedom has 4 losses in the leauge

    Watauga AC Reynolds game tonight

    Heard Watauga defeated AC Reynolds tonight 6 - 2. That shuffles the deck some in NW 4A.

    Southwestern 4A Butler definitely in and I think Weddington and Providence are fighting for second with Weddington having won the first game.

    Obviously, Central and Hopewell will be the reps from the Meca

    West Meck will be the rep from the Queen City 4a. No wildcard remotely possible from the 4a remaining teams.

    I think Olympic has clinched the Queen City #1 spot for 3A and Catholic is in second and I think they may have a shot at a wildcard.

    I think Piedmont may be in first in the South Piedmont 3a but I have no idea what the record of anyone else is. No one has that great a record.

    North Davidson will get CPC conf., East Rowan should get 2nd, but still has to play Davie County.Originally CPC was supposed to get 3 seeds but has been changed back to 2.If ER finishes 2nd,Davie Cty should get a wildcard.Don't know their record, but they are definately a playoff caliber team.

    NPC-West Rowan will take conf. again,but Northwest Cabarrus has the #2 seed wrapped up.This could be 1 of those teams to look for toward the end.

    I know brackets sure do STINK!Lot of teams will be knocked out that a couple should be in Raleigh.The eastern part of state is catching a big break, no offense down there.

    I believe the #1 team in the Metro is NW Guilford they are the only team to defeat SW Randolph if im not mistaken, E. Forsyth or N. Forsyth will be #2 i think.

    Thanks a bunch,CCHSvikefan81.Not that I'm looking ahead of any teams,just looking at brackets.Playoffs,you take 1 game at a time,cause there is no tomorrow.Good luck to all teams in playoffs,but this ole boy is READY for some COBRA Ball !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 thing bout travel ball is it's like the playoffs every weekend!Goooooooooood Competition!:ylsuper:

    Current Playoff Situation

    From what I have read from everyone's post this is what the current situation looks like for the playoffs as of 4-26-06. Only teams that are in contention for a automatic berth or have a chance of making a wild card spot.

    Remember if teams play an endowment game that game does not count toward their "wildcard" record. Only non-conference, conference, and conference tournament games count.Most of these conferences only get 2 automatic berths, some may get 1 or three.

    If you know a teams record or another team that we may be missing let us know so we can keep up with this.

    NW4A
    AC Reynolds- 10-7(7-3)
    McDowell - 11-7(6-4)
    Freedom- 15-6(6-4) one loss was to Butler(endowment) does not count for wild card purposes
    Alexander C.- 11-5(6-4)
    South C.- 11-8(3-6)
    Watauga- 9-10(5-6)
