Some Not Playing High School Sports

    Here's a link to an interesting article that describes how some soccer kids are not playing in high school.

    IMO, unless you have a great opportunity like Ally Blake has with UNC, I think playing HS sports and experiences gained are just too important part of a young persons life. There is a lot to say for playing for your school and lots of great memories to be had.

    Any thoughts on if this is something we can expect in NC?

    Despite the efforts to the contrary by many school athletic programs, HS Sports here in NC are here to stay. Exactly for the very reasons you stated - community.

    Club sports will always be the channel for those athletes wishing to play at the next level, but it will never replace the HS team.
