Softball: Meredith's Arielle Stout on a Roll!

Arielle Stout of the Meredith Avengind Angels has been on quite a roll the past two days. With pitcher Jordan Smith down with an ankle injury (hope she gets back this weekend!), Arielle has stepped up pitching all but two innings of four games in the past two days.

Yesterday, in the first game of the double header against Swarthmore, Arielle pitched a 2 hit, complete game shut out with 11 K's. Meredith won that game 1 - 0.

She then held Swarthmore scoreless until the 6th inning of the next game. Swartmore went on to win that game 6 - 0.

Today, Arielle pitched another gem in the first game against Randolph. Another 2 hitter complete game with 14 K's. Meredith won that game 4 - 1 (run was unearned).

She came in relief in the bottom of the second inning of the second game and pitched the rest of the game. This was an exciting game with flurries of offense and great defensive plays by both teams. Randolph ended up winning that game 11 - 7.

Also in the second game today, Arielle blasted a solo HR to left center.

Awesome couple of days Arielle!

Great job, keep on rolling!

...nice! I had Arielle on my team when she was 12, and she could hit it out then.
Damn good kid too!
