    Believe it or not

One thing this article does is let you know you better be careful talking to a newspaper. You have no control over what they will say about what you said. The way they even go about saying what you say can be right on or misleading.
We learned this the hard way around here from the way our paper wrote about the baseball program at our community college. One person's agenda can go along way in slanting an article.

But on the other hand if done properly with just reporting and not slanting it can be great. My son was interviewed last month by the paper and I knew about 2 weeks ahead of time the article would be coming out. I waited with fear about how it would be written. It turned out to be a nice article that mede me and Mama proud. The writer was asking him about the life of a college baseball player and what his days were like. The earlier articles by the editor had made the players and the program look bad but this time he was asked about the daily routine of a BRCC baseball player and he got to tell about the hard work that goes into each day. While the average student is on their way home to "chill" the ball players are just starting the hard part of their day. The 3-4 hour practice.

So, I have seen both sides of these articles and you have to be careful about who you let interview you.

I swear to God it wasn't me! There's no way I could be on Stretchy's level when it comes to the party scene... even when the ol' body COULD keep up with my wayward thoughts!

I know specifically ForTheLoveOfTheGame has called me some nice things in the past. And PhillyDave knows some parents who think I'm a gem.
