    Technically, it's an E3 DF (dropped foul) in the computer scoring software. The batter continues the at bat and the pitcher won't be charged for an earned run if the batter reaches.

    Depending on what side of the ball I'm on,
    I either have new life or I'm dying because I just gave them 4 outs.
