.....out by the 1B on a routine pop up in foul territory, 1B has a brainfart and takes her eye off of the ball thinking that this is an easy out, and Bam!, charlie browns the out giving the batter new light at the plate.
Next pitch, the batter spanks one in the gap and ends up on 2nd base.

E3 on the pitch prior to the hit, then credit the hitter with a 2b for her hit.
I'm not sure on the hit part, but when in doubt, credit the hitter.

.....yep, and what most folks have in mind about scorekeeping is that its geared from an offensive team, i. e., batters perspective.
I have to admit that I've never given much thought, if any, to the fact that a defensive player can be charged with an error while the batter still has time at bat.
Nice Stinger, you're on a roll!

    Unearned

Any batter/runner who "could have" been out during their time at bat is scored as unearned.

That's why pitcher's dads make the best score keepers. :pirate:

    NFCA Scorekeepers book

    6. The run is unearned (scores in spite of pitching efforts) if the runner who scores
reached first base in the following ways:
    a - On an error,
b - After her life at the plate was prolonged by a dropped foul fly, or
c - On interference or obstruction (the interference or obstruction
should be counted as an opportunity for a putout).
