Don't take BBQ anywhere close to an American Legion dugout ---- you may draw back a "nub" (I think they go too long between meals on game day) :56:

    High Point - 5
    Mooresville - 3

Logan Snider hits a big 3-run homerun in the bottom of the 7th with High Piont trailing 3-2 at the time.

Nick Oelker pitched 6 and 2/3 innings for High Point and left in a 2-2 tie.

Lexington defeated Stanley 7-5. Classic pitchers dual through the first 6 innings between Clay Watson (Lexington) and Honneycut (Stanley). With the score tied 2-2 after six (all four runs unearned), both pitchers tired in the 7th. Lexington scored 5 in the seventh and Stanley scored 3 in the bottom of the inning. Michael Pilcher (sp?) pitched the 8th and Andrew Hunt the 9th for the save.

Lexington moved to 8-1 in league.

That's a pretty amazing win. How many players was Stanly missing? They've had internal issues that I'm sure still are affecting them.

Briggs & Levi were out for Lex. As far as I know, that's it.

Not sure about Stanley - heard rumors they had a couple on the bench that weren't going to get playing time last night???

For Lexington - in addition to Briggs and Levi at state games, one pitcher and two other starting position players weren't there at all (beach) and two other starters weren't able to play until 2nd half of the game due to missing this past Wednesday's game. Those two coming back from the beach, however, were huge as both contributed in the 5 run 7th.
