Sorry for the lack of info up here in the mountains, I'll try to get posting on here now that the season has started...

For those who don't know the McDowell Lady Titans are off to their first 0-2 start since the 1983-84 basketball season. The Lady Titans lost 52-42 Tuesday night to R-S Central. Tuesday's win by the Lady Hilltoppers broke a losing streak of 35 games going back to December of 1988...that was the last time Central beat McDowell in girls action.

This proud basketball program up here at McDowell has been on quite a remarkable run over the 10-15 years. If you go back to the 1998 and 1999 State Runner-Up teams, and then the great Anna Atkinson and Kurie Washington led teams of the 2000's...what's going on this season is a huge shock to the system to a lot of people. This whole 2010-2011 season is going to be a work in progress for the Lady Titans, I just hope our fanbase remains as loyal as they have always been.
