Rowan County Pitching

    I read in the Salisbury Post this morning that Rowan is having to do some patch work with its pitching staff throughout this tourney. Folks yesterday were asking questions about Keegan Linza (USC signee) who came in in relief of Cy Young to record the final 4 outs against Morehead. Linza is in summer school at USC this summer and has an exam Friday morning. He could pitch in relief today but will not be available Friday morning. If Rowan wins and plays Friday night, there is a chance he would be back. Lee Dupree, the #3 starter, is unavailable until Saturday, because of a job committment. What kind of employer would not let the kid off?

    Anyway, Weston Church, who has only pitched in 3 games this year because of injury will get the call today against Cherryville. I'm suprised Gantt doesn't come back with Linza, but I'm guessing we will see him in relief. If Rowan wins today, they are in great shape being able to throw Linza Friday, then Dupree on Saturday, and come back with Young on Sunday.
