    RULES ON RECRUITMENT TRAIL

These are a few simple rules to help guide you through the recruitment process. Share this info with your parents, as they should be very involved in your decision.
1Most important thing is to look beyond the easy choice for the right one.
2Make sure that signing day is not the greatest day of your career. Don’t just go to the marquee place. Find the right place for yourself. It’s not about doing the popular thing. It is about what’s going to fit his/her ability, personality, or aspirations!
3Two rules for schools to be considered… First, “you want them to have the same passion for you as you do for them. Second, ”Don’t let them lie to you. The Coaches who do the best were the ones who didn’t put on a salesman’s hat.
4You will be more impressed with the coaches who are just about being themselves, just telling what the program is all about.
5“There is a young person who went to the school of his choice and regretted it greatly during his college career. Don’t let your son or daughter think that they know themselves better than you and your wife know them. You make the call if there’s indecision.
6The process will get exhausting and tedious. Focus on the task, and the importance of bearing a critical eye during all encounters with potential schools and coaches.
7Enjoy the dream of being courted by various colleges and universities, but understand the pressure that high school players are pressed to decide too early. In many cases, he said, a players senior season has become an afterthought.
8The offers come too early, and the commitments are made too early. It is very easy to make a mistake on both sides. An oral commitment doesn’t end the process. Schools can pursue a prospect until he or she signs on national signing day. Once you commit, then the real recruiting begins. You will start receiving phone calls.
9BELIEVE YOUR WORD IS YOUR WORD !!!!

Choose the school that you want to go to based on the education and the love of the school...not the softball team or coach.
