The "pitcher - Dirtbags" is Grier Harrington... he usually pitches with his eyes open!

My son played ball with Michael Melton on the "Forest City Thunder" a few years ago. It is nice to see his picture here. A great kid and a wonderful family. Keep the pictures coming.

Congratulations on some TERRIFIC shots!! :trophy:

As a photography hobbyist who's spent a fair amount of time on the side of a baseball diamond shooting photos, I hope you don't mind my asking which camera body and lens took these.

Braves, thanks for my laugh of the day! I love your wit!

Prepster, I am definately a novice photographer but I am working hard to improve. My wonderful husband gave me a Nikon D50 for our anniversary and for the shots on the baseball field I use a SIGMA 70-200 lens.

Currently my biggest challenge is lighting, there always seems to be too much or not enough. I love the game of baseball and I love taking pictures of some pretty awesome athletes as they compete!

My son also plays soccer and basketball. Basketball presents a whole new set of problems, still with lighting but this time artificial. Flourscent and incandescent lighting both play havoc with my pictures.

I would highly recommend the Nikon D50, it's an awesome camera, the D70 is a step up (proffesional level) that you might also consider. I would recommend a package bundle from ebay, you come out much better!

I just had to share a couple of soccer pictures with you!
