The PGF Premier National Championship is underway in Huntington Beach, CA. PGF Premier has replaced ASA Gold as the top national championship in the country.
Two local teams are having a very strong tournament and representing the Carolina's very well.

For the second year in a row, Lady Lighting Gold Team Miken has made the final 8 of the winners bracket, by going 4-0. The other 7 remaining in the winners bracket is
    - CA Firecrackers - Rico
    - WA Washington LadyHawks
    - CA Corona Angles - Tyson
    - CA OC Batbusters - Haning
    - CA Explosion
    - AL Birmingham Thunderbolts
    - GA East Cobb Bullets

The Carolina Elite won their first two games and then got knocked into the losers bracket in the Corona Angles - Tyson. They have since won 2 games and are 4-1 for the tournament.

    Bracket link

LLGTM will play East Cobb Bullets next. The game will be broadcast at SportsnetUSA net. Scheduled for an 8 pm ET start, depending on prior game progress.

The Socal Athletics won the first 3 PGF Premier National Championship but were knocked into the loser bracket by the Firecrackers - Rico. Unlikely that they will be able to make it 4 straight.

Nice showing for the NC team.

Saw you played the EC Bullets. Did K. Barnhill (#1 pitcher in class of 2015) pitch for them?

Yes, she threw.and is a very good pitcher to say the least. LLGTM has a very good 2015 pitcher also in Regan Green (Miss State). 7th inning ended 1-1. EC won the game in the 8th.

Barnhill had 18 Ks :stunned: in their following game in the semifinals of the winners bracket. Still uncommitted as far as I know. Remember the name, she has a bright future.

LLGTM's other loss was to Beverly Bandits who threw '15 Univ of Washington commit Taran Alvelo. No easy games at this level, but that what makes it fun.
