Pensacola Trip

    All right you posters - I'm headed to Pensacola, FL on Tuesday and have Tuesday and Wednesday evenings free to catch a game. Do we have anyone from NC playing in the area, or a favorite school, high school/college? Give a fellow poster some suggestions! There ought to be some good baseball in the area.

    Okay, I found a game on my own. Pensacola JC vs Chipola JC.

    I flew to Florida expecting warm weather, so I brought the shorts and knit shirts. Not good. The temperature was 15 degrees cooler than Gastonia and after 4 innings of shivering, I left the ballpark. Chipola was leading 4-0 at the time.

    Chipola had a tall lefty throwing 87 on a Stalker gun. And since JUCOs were being discussed on another thread, there were at least 5 pro scouts at this game. I was able to pick out Braves, Twins and Diamondbacks from their shirts or briefcases.

    I'll look for another game tomorrow, but I've decided not to drive to Tallahassee to catch the Seminoles. Back in town on Friday!

    to live their it is beautiful! GREAAATTTT baseball but hot and humid as h**********ll..... And those freakin red bugs and sand fleas holy cow I prefer NC!!!!!!!!!!! :xyzthumbs
