Freedom was down 6 at the half but played a heck of a second half especially the 4th quarter and rallied to win

    Freedom (6-0) 16-2
    Watauga (4-2) 11-7
    Alexander Central (4-2) 14-4
    East Burke (3-3) 12-6
    McDowell (3-3) 6-11
    AC Reynolds (1-5) 3-13
    South Caldwell (0-6) 1-16

Just looking at things from the halfway point, Freedom looks to be in a good position. Watauga has played spoiler really laying a big blow to Alexander Central and East Burke's hopes of winning the conference. McDowell all in all is playing better ball than when the conference schedule began. The Titans have done a good job in beating the teams they should beat. I think tonight's rematch with Central will be a much better contest than the one in Taylorsville before Christmas...

Would you lump WHS into that or would you said that McDowell pulled the upset in that one?

I'm not saying WHS should have won, we didn't play well and McDowell beat us soundly.

Being the game was at home...yeah, I thought we should win. Now, considering how Watauga has played since that match up, it makes an always tough trip to Boone next week all that more of a challenge.
