McDowell got some bad news today...Titan center Daniel Simolke tore his ACL earlier this week while in action. I don't have any details about what or when it happened but it was found out that he did tear it. I hate to see his senior season end before it got started because Simolke worked extra hard during the off-season to bulk up and to improve his game. He was going to be a key piece to this years team. From one "Big D" to another...I hope all goes well in recovery.

Sorry about that, EB was missing 8 players and I heard TC was missing 1.

so your jv team beat roberson's varsity team. eb must have a great jv team, because roberson is suppose to be loaded.

I think folks will be surprised this year with East Burke. In the scrimmage against Roberson they were missing 5 players who are still playing football. Several of these will be starters. This will probally be the best "team" East Burke has ever put on the court.

That East Burke win is very impressive, sounds like McDowell has a great group as well. The NW4A could be loaded this year.
Watauga opens action tomorrow night with Forsyth Country Day, big game to start for Greene & Co.
