    For the third time this season Mooresville will face Statesville. This time it is for the NPC tournament crown on Friday in Kannapolis. Mooresville dispatched N. Iredell on Monday night and E. Rowan tonight in Kannapolis. Statesville has survived two very close calls this week. On Monday, down by two and defending a W. Rowan inbounds play with seconds remaining, the Greyhounds steal the inbounds pass and throw in a half court shot at the buzzer to win by one. Tonight, down by seven in the final minutes the Greyhounds rally past the Wonders, who were playing on their home court in Kannapolis, to win by two points. Mooresville is 2-0 vs. Statesville this season but both teams are very evenly matched. All three teams (Mooresville , Statesville, Kannapolis) are headed to the NCHSAA post season tourny and are looking to make a name for themselves while representing the NPC.

    Statesville wins the NPC tournament. The Greyhounds come out on top by a score of 77-72 over the regular season champs the Mooresville Blue Devils. The Devils fell behind early then clawed their way back to a 1 point lead after three quarters but the Greyhounds closed out the game in a big way to win by 5. Now it's on to the NCHSAA tournament.
