A time for celebration for the Black Knights!

Mt. Tabor hit a grand slam in the bottom of the first to chase ND's starter after only getting one out, but it was all downhill from there. Mt. had a chance in the sixth to get back into the game. Trailing 9-5, they loaded the bases with #4 and #5 hitters coming to the plate with just one out. Tippett strikes out both to end the inning. ND put it away in the seventh scoring 5 runs including a grand slam of their own. Congrats to North Davidson. Don't understand the comment made by the Mt Tabor PA guy though, talking about how the CBC was the best baseball conference in the state of NC. Obviously, he's not seen much SW4A baseball in Charlotte. That's ok, we'll find out beginning Thursday as Ardrey Kell travels to North Davidson to begin the regional finals. Good luck to both. Also, congratulations to Mt Tabor on a fine season, certainly nothing to hang their heads about.

 

The Black Knights bested the Mt. Tabor Spartans and the Purple Knights bested the South Caldwell Spartans. That's REALLY freaky.
