New Pirate Asst Announced... Great News!

    Nick Schnabel has been introduced as the new Asst Coach at Ecu for the Diamond Bucs... He will take care of hitting, infield and head up recruiting...

    Coach Schnabel played MIFat ECU under Coach LeClair, did a 4 year stint in the Expos organization, then went on to coach at Army and most recently, Liberty. He is VERY highly thought of in college coaching circles and is a fantastic hire by Coach Godwin and the administration. I know I feel very fortunate that my son will have the opportunity to learn more of the game with him on staff. Many of you would recognize him, as he relentlessly is on the road at various events, getting a look at potential recruits.

    Will Coach Jarrett was a great guy, representative of the program, coach and member of the community (and will be missed), a great hire and Welcome Back To Greenville and The Pirate Fold, Coach Schnabel!!!:banana:

    I'm assuming this means Coach Atkinson is still the volunteer coach. I thought he might move into a full-time (paid) assistant position with the departure of Coach Jarrett.
