    I'm sure this will upset some people, but how about Winston Dash Salem Witch Hunters........I know of some witches that don't mind W/S using that.

    That may be the worst selection for a nickname I have ever heard. Dash !!! Warthogs had a some lyrical quality to it at least .

    Hello, my name is "&", Mr. Gman allowed me to use his screen name so I may protest the use of our friend "-'s" God given name in the Winston-Salem minor league baseball team's name. Very few of you can appreciate the oppression that is felt daily by the "-'s", ",'s", ";'s", ":'s" "&'s", "*'s",and the "^'s", that are so often treated like second class grammatical tools. Sure, everybody knows the superstars, "?'s" and "!'s". But these guys don't represent us little guys who are so under-appreciated in the realm of the written word.
    We are asking, at this time, for reparations to be made to our group. All checks... cash would be even better, should be forwarded to Mr. Gman. who will hold it in trust for us... after a small service charge of course!

    I'm from W-S and I remember when the spirits were the red sox and I also remember there was a team for almost fifty years called the pond giants. The dash....

    They could have named them the "tre-fours" That's the name of the local version of the bloods and crypts affectionately named that because the Forsyth county jail is NC dep of corrections facility #34. Little known fact NBA superstar, and wake forest stand out Josh Howard has tre-4 tattoed on his shoulder.

    In retrospect naming them the tre-four's might be an insult to a culture. Still, tre-fours sounds better then the dash.
