NEW indoor facility in Harrisburg!

My name is Jim Knight and I have been recently named as the Director of Baseball & Softball Operations at a new indoor facility in Harrisburg. After 13 years as a varsity head baseball coach, I am excited about the opportunity to continue coaching kids in an elite training environment.

The place isn't new but the attitude and commitment to local baseball & softball players IS…..and we’d love for you to set up a time to visit. The building is called Sports Junction (although we will be naming the baseball & softball facility something new in the coming weeks). Personal focused training, memberships, team rentals and cage/mound rentals and personal fitness training are all available at our facility, starting immediately.

Camps, clinics & important developmental programs will be starting in the new year, including a one-of-a-kind Middle School Pre-Season Combine for all players hoping to make their Middle School team in the spring. Price lists can be available by emailing me at [email protected] and registrations online for any facility programs will be sent to anyone that emails and wants to be on a regular mailing list. A new website is in the works as well.

HERE IS WHAT SETS US APART:

• Baseball and Softball Training
-Most facilities cater to baseball players while allowing softball players to use it when there is space. They have no equipment for softball and were not designed with the softball player in mind. Not at Sports Junction.
-Buckets of softballs (11” for younger players, 12” for older athletes), pitching mats and other equipment is provided specifically for our female athletes. The place is clean, well air-conditioned and professional-looking…..exactly what the college players we talked to said that softball players would want.
Baseball is only first in the name because it’s 1st in the alphabet…..WE LOVE SOFTBALL!

• Elite Strength/Speed/Agility Training Area
-This is a separate area that has everything needed to improve the speed, agility, flexibility and core strength of athletes at any level (medicine balls, kettle bells, heavy ropes, speed vests, ladders, hurdles/boxes, etc.). We are also a facility that has the Vertimax machine, a revolutionary tool used by championship teams in every major professional sport (New England Patriots, Miami Heat & New York Yankees, to name a few). On top of that, we have numerous exercise bikes and machines used as warmup equipment in preparation for focus training and team training sessions.
In short, we are NOT a batting cage….we are an ELITE training facility.

• Facility Flexibility
-What does this mean? It means that a team that rents the entire turf area of the facility can change the cages up in various directions, allowing for 6 small cages, 2 enormous cages (80’ x 29 ft.) or any combination they choose based on our pulley system. This allows for practice flexibility and for the space to be adjusted to meet the various needs of teams during the course of a season or off-season.
You rent the space, it is yours…..do what you need to improve your team!

• Professional Viewing Areas
-Our facility has leather chairs and a TV for families to relax while they wait AND an elevated viewing area that can be used to observe workouts from a secure and comfortable location while taking in the entire facility at once.
