    vs. Va tech

NCSU scored 1 run in 3 games vs. VT.

The Tincher pitcher for VT must be the deal. Looked like she pitched all but 4 innings in the 3 games.

    VT's Tincher is "the deal"

Click here to see just where she ranks. Note second in NCAA history in K's/game.

NCSU's pitching will be just fine by the end of the year. Both McKenzie and Campana are very good. McKenzie is a junior transfer and Campana is a sophomore tranfer. Campana came for the JUCO ranks and I believe McKenzie came from WCU. Both have taken a little time to adjust to their new level of play and look very good now. It will be very tough to get pitching time while those 2 are at NCSU.

this will tell you about VT's Tincher

The mighty U.S. Olympic softball team struck out.
Virginia Tech's Angela Tincher pitched a no-hitter in a 1-0 win over the three-time defending gold medalists Wednesday night, ending the U.S. team's 185-game winning streak in pre-Olympic exhibitions.
It was the American team's first loss in a pre-Olympic exhibition since May 3, 1996. During that span, the U.S. team outscored opponents 1,475-24.
Tincher struck out 10 and allowed one baserunner on a one-out walk to Kelly Kretschman in the second inning.
"My hat goes off to Angela Tincher," U.S. coach Mike Candrea said. "She pitched a great ballgame. I told our team what she was capable of and told them to be ready to go. But she came out firing and really kept us off our game."

WOW! she no-hit the Olympic team. I guess NC State should not feel so bad.

I'll give them this much; they've got some mightyfine slot drain in the dugouts and bleachers in their stadium.

    Tops

One of the top, if not the top pitcher in country! She has helped turn VT into a contender.

    WOW WOW

Saw NCSU field for the first time Tuesday and man it is an eye catcher! Great location on campus and a real modern facility! Coach Navas should be proud.

    home play

I notice that many Div 1 teams from NC play a lot of tournaments the first half of season out of state in warmer regions. Overall the # of actual home games is minimal if you look at the total games played. With modern facilities being built on these campuses in NC, will we ever see an increase in home games like weekend tournaments hosted on NC campuses? The cool temp's in early season in NC likely have an effect on such decisions.

    nice but...............

very nice softball complex at NCSU, but could dugouts have been a bit larger? and all that empty space / landscaping down the 3rd base side?

lot of foul balls in the streets too! watch out :blauwoog::glotzbart::auto::oops:
