Pfirst ever fastpitch game was on campus today in the new stadium.

but they seem to be struggling a bit so far this season. looks like they are missing the great "stopper" pitcher of the past years.

    Wolfpack

Hopefully next year they will get that "stopper" pitcher in Morgan Peeler, Central Cabarrus. Lot of the freshman are toting the load, & there is some really great NC talent coming that way in 08. Landon Warren, Toni Williford, Morgan Barbour, Bethany Wells, & Morgan Peeler. I like seeing all those names on same team. Go Pack !!!!

    tar

The NCSU program (only about 4-5 yr's old now?) has pretty much owned the tarholes since day 1.

but honestly maybe not this year? we'll see.

    Coach Navas is definitely rebuilding

When you start a fully funded program your first recruiting is very important. Coach Navas did a great job bringing a group of girls who basically played every inning for four years (and, yes pretty much owned UNC). Of course this creates the problem of developing depth and recruiting (especially pitching) as kids look at the roster and know they will likely not play plus most of the $$ is committed. That class graduated last year so now it's time to begin a normal process of bringing in three to five players each year. It well likely take Lisa a couple of years to return to where she was the last two seasons but it will happen.

    frosh

State has a couple of freshman pitchers not getting any PT, and that's normal I would assume.
I guess they just bide their time and practice, practice, practice, workout, condition, etc, etc?...........and wait til a summer league to get game innings??
