NCAA may change

    The NCAA is voting on the fall recruiting period which may take us back to the old dates or even better! Recruiting period could be from August to November with dead period at several times during the months! Good news for players, coaches and tournament directors if the vote goes the right way.
    However, there were some powerful schools last year that supported the shorter time frame. Check out spysoftball or the NCAA.org site if you want to read the article.:smart:

    when you say "old" dates, when were those in effect? Also, aren't baseball and softball, as well as some of the other sports, all the same with signing day being around the end of the first week in November?

    The D-1 softball community chose to wipe out all of September last year and much of October as recruiting dates for softball! Basically they chose to use a shade over a month for fall recruiting which kept them away from many of the showcase dates and caused directors to scrabble for a different date that fit with D-1 appetite. The two websites, I provided will give you full story.
    I did not mention signing deadline in my post at all. However, I believe the date is November 14.:FO3DRfall:
