    Can anyone shed light on the NCAA Clearinghouse and how one registers?? Is it necessary?? Is there something better??

    definitely necessary and better isnt an option....

    In order for a high school athlete to be recruited by a D-I or D-II school they must be registered with the clearinghouse. The athlete may register at any time either online or through their high school counseler. Their grades will not be sent until after their junior year in high school. The clearinghouse receives a sealed transcript from the school. There is no other option.
