    State playoff results for Volleyball

    4A> Person defeats Providence 3-1

    3A> Southwest Guilford defeats Webb 3-0

    2A> Cardinal Gibbons defeats West Henderson 3-1

    1A> Hendersonville defeats Pender 3-2

    Congrats to all who played in the State Playoffs and to all the Champions!!!

    The NCHSAA Volleyball Championships will always be special. I never knew how intense the sport was until my own daughter fell in love with it. She has since gone to college. Now me and the wife still follow the Mooresville team as much as we can. We got to watch former Blue Devil (and 2003 3A State Champ MVP) Noell Dyk on TV yesterday playing (and starting) for the Tarheels as a freshman.

    Cherish these memories and give thanks. Congratulations!

    AND what a ride it has been, there's nothing like winning a state championship in a small town atmosphere. The things the community is doing, will do or has already done will make this the memory of a lifetime!!
