    Has anyone been at any of these tryouts? Just wondering if anyone was standing out

    i know region 6 tryouts were rescheduled to may 15 at intimidator stadium in kannapolis

    Region 3 had their 2nd day of tryouts Saturday.

    State Games Tryouts

    I was at the tryouts Coach Evans at Orange last week end. I thought Byrd did very well and so did Moore. There was one kid that hit 89 on the gun and 7-8 that were in the mid 80's. There wasn't anyone that really stood out over everyone else to be honest with you just alot of very good players. There was only 3 sub 7 60 guys and a few 7.1 7.2 kids. Most were in the 7.3 7.6 range. I think your guys have a good chance. Coach Ferrell told me that they finished up the tryouts Saturday at Barton.

    WHEN ARE ROSTERS PICKED/ANNOUNCED?

    How long does it usually take to get there rosters set and to notify the players selected?? Just wondering??
    Also Coach May thanks for the vote of confidence on Moore and Byrd. And I wish you Guys all the best in the playoffs. You have a great team there!!

    Its my understanding that they will be notified within the next two weeks by phone. Thanks for the nice comments about our team. We have really been playing well with 12 straight wins. Its funny how much better you are when you start hitting 1-9. The tough thing is when you get in the playoffs the one and done factor is big. We have beat teams before in the playoffs that were more talented than us and we have lost to teams that we were more talented than. You have to have some breaks along the way. One thing we really have going for us this year is we have four guys that are equally good on the hill and a much better offensive lineup than in years past. Maybe we will catch some breaks along the way we will see. I hope your son makes the team he and Robbie are really good kids and I think they are good enough to make it. Its really tough when you try to nail it down to 20 kids out of all the players that try out. One thing in there favor is Coach Ferrell has seen them now for a couple of years and knows what they can do. Good Luck
