Nash County Babe Ruth 14U to play for WS Title

    The Nash County 14U Babe Ruth team will play today at 1:00 pm for the World Seires Title. These boys finished tied for 3rd last year as 13s. The current 15s also finished tied for 3rd last year as 14s. I'm happy to say that half the team will be freshmen at Rocky Mount Senior High.

    where is this WS being played? good luck to this eastern NC team.

    Rocky Mt. Sr. HS, is Pat Smith the coach?

    Not to be this year. Nash County lost the championship game to Jefferson Parish, La. 5-1. It was played in Quincy,Mass. Pat Smith is the coach at RMSH. This coming year will be his 4th at Senior High.

    I recall the nice job that Pat Smith did at South Johnston HS before he went back home to RM. Won a State 3A championship at SJ. Does Pat still maintain a great-looking field? He really manicured the one at SJ; it was really a priority for him.
