Let me preface this by saying there is no amount of conditioning you can do for full ACL tear prevention because you twist something the right way and it's a year off, but exercising the right leg muscles go a long way in preventing ACL tears. With that said I want to add to my earlier post about the "Russian" hamstring exercises. My DD started a strength and conditioning program with Stephon McQueen at Grand Slam in Raleigh this week. He's former UNC/NFL footballer. He and Peppers were the defensive ends at UNC when they were Seniors. Works with a ton of athletes. Very impressive resume. Has had nine surgeries of his own and he is the super freak on conditioning. My DD loved it. He will turn thighs made of brick to rubber. But when your DD comes out of it she is super ready. All this said.....go find yourself a good conditioning coach and let them do their thing. Keep those leg muscles and especially those hamstrings as strong as you can make them. Great for protecting those knee's, but also for power and running. Hope this helps.
