    Chase @ Crest

    Chase Middle defeated 3 time defeating champion Crest Middle yesterday at their beautiful field 5-2. With the win, Chase snapped the Lady Dragons 45 + game winning streak dating back to 2006 and split their regular season games this year. Both teams are now 5-1 in conference play and should be playoff bound against North Lincoln and West Lincoln IF things contiune to play out as they have so far.

    The Lady Patriots jump out to an early lead and never look back as they cruised to a 12-2 victory over Lincolnton in 5 innings. Emily Hester started and pitched 2 innings and Mikeala Bell pitched the final 3 as the two combined to no hit the opposition. At the plate the Lady Patriots scored in every inning as they collected 12 hits. Sarah Scism was 3-for-3 at the plate while Hester and Gracie Hunter added 3 hits and 2 runs apiece. Bell and Leah Herndon each scored 3 runs as well for the Lady Patriots with Bell collecting 2 hits and Herndon chipping in a hit and 3 stolen bases. Jamie Bagwell and Hailey Wheaton each scored a run for Kings Mountain as well.

    The Lady Patriots are back in action this week at North Lincoln Tuesday and at home Thursday versus Burns.

    Bailey vs. Bradley

    Bailey Middle beat Bradley Middle 5-2. While Bailey had previously tied Bradley once in 2008, this was the first time that Bailey got the win in a 5 season history of matchups between the two teams.

    Winning pitcher - Katrina Cassel (7th grade)

    Crest 13, R-S Central 2 — The Lady Dragons improved to 5-1 and play at Shelby on Thursday.
    The winning pitcher for Crest was Macy Ollis, who recorded 13 strikeouts in five innings while allowing only two hits and launched an over-the-fence grand slam in the second inning.Jodi Blanton’s two hits paced the Lady Dragons.

    Holbrook 11 Cramerton 1 in 5 innings. Holbrook 9-1 starts playoffs Tuesday as the # 2 seed.
