    Gastonia Southwest 19 - York Chester 2.

    could of been a lot more lopsided, but southwest coach is a pretty good guy...lots of steppin off the bases...

    Trask starts the season with a win as they try to capture their 4th straight County Championship. Coach Bradley Rhodes recorded his 50th middle school win as a head coach. He is 35-2 at Trask and 15-9 at Williston.

    In today's game, Kelsi Johnston (1-0) was the winning pitcher, striking out 5 and walking two, while giving up two hits and 1 earned run.

    Makala Jackson 1-3 with 2 rbi's.
    Kelsi Johnston had two sacrifice bunts with 1 rbi.
    Olivia Honeycutt 1-3 with an rbi.
    Charlene Thompson was 1-3 with 2 stolen bases and 2 runs scored.

    The Trask softball team improved their record to 3-0 Thursday with a hard fought 5-3 win over Noble. The win put the Bears in sole possession of first place in the county. The girls were led on defense by the pitching of Kelsi Johnston who improved her record to 2-0 throwing a complete game and striking out 12 Noble batters. At the plate the Bears were led by Charlene Thompson who went 2-2 with 3 runs scored and 3 stolen bases, Elexa Parker went 1-2 with 1 run scored and 1 stolen base, Michelle Mutacio went 1-2 with a double, Olivia Honeycutt went 1-3 with 2 stolen bases and 1 RBI, Makayla Jackson had 2 sacrifices and 2 RBIS. Please continue to support you Trask softball team . Next game is Tuesday at Williston.

    On Tuesday, Trask beat Murray 14-0.
